What a Night for the "Opening Night Party" - AMAZING!

The comments are in - the numbers are in and Stacey and me are proud to say this was our most successful Miracles & Magic yet with net proceeds totaling over $93,000 thanks to all of you. 100% of which goes directly to help create lasting memories for children with life threatening illnesses.

Friday night at Martini Park for the "Opening Night Party" was a huge success. Stay tuned for pics on the website. What can possibly beat great food, great drink and some of the most amazing sleight of hand magic you've ever seen.
Our featured performer was Joshua Jay from New York, NY and people couldn't stop raving about his show. We had created a special close up show environment inside Martini Park which was awesome. People were lining up to see it again...and again...and again. At least I did.

Also performing Friday night throughout the crowds and also getting so many great reactions and laughs were professional magicians: David McCreary, Steve Branham, Bill Gladwell, Aaron Delong, Michael Kent and Michael Dustman.

Also appearing....Yes that IS Elvis. Where else can you get a limo ride around Easton while the KING serenades you on your journey as you sip Martini's. I'm not sure where else - I think we are it at the moment. Lady GaGa made her appearance as did all the elite socialites of Columbus.

The other thing that makes the night so unique... you sip martini's (or beer, wine or whatever your pleasure) while you eat high end food - then at 9pm, served on silver platters, come White Castle Hamburgers. White Castle has been BIG sponsor and supporter for many years and this little touch at the end of the night just seems to work so well.

Thanks again to all who attended. For this who missed it, we look forward to seeing you next year!

FOX Morning show with Johnny DiLoretto

We did spots on FOX, NBC and CBS so far this week and splashes in most newspaper. Special thanks to Michael Kent, Steve Branham, Aaron DeLong and Michael Dustman for helping to make this morning show event possible. We had great time - even at 6:15 this morning. and YES - those Martini's you see her making - did have to be consumed on site.

Getting to work with strong kids

As mentioned before, It's inspiring to meet so many young and brave children that teach me a lot. Here is yet another one. (If you start to watch...you'll need to finish it to hear his story)

Regretfully, Seth passed last week. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. Seth was brave...very brave.

Thank you Seth, for those of us you have taught.

Joshua Jay Overview:
Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua Jay has been called magic’s Renaissance Man by MAGIC Magazine. It’s not hard to see why: he is a performer, lecturer, author, and photographer of all things mysterious. He maintains a globetrotting performance schedule—Jay has performed in over fifty countries and appears regularly on national television (most recently on Good Morning America and the Today Show).

His performance style is completely unique: he performs with ordinary, borrowed objects, causing them to twist, bend, appear, and vanish at will. Joshua’s magic is up-close and personal—simple, clear and undeniable. It happens when you’re watching, no matter how close you’re watching. At only seventeen years old Joshua Jay was crowned world champion for close-up magic at the World Magic Seminar, and he is now regarded as one of the leading creative forces in the magic world. In 2009 he penned a best-selling magic book, MAGIC: The Complete Course.

Jay is a headliner at the prestigious Magic Castle in Hollywood and is the author of two best-selling books on magic (his first is published in five languages and is now in its fourth US printing). In 1998, he was crowned champion at the World Magic Seminar. Most recently, he was named 2009 International Magician of the Year by Primio Magia, the Latin American Council of Magic. Joshua is a monthly columnist for MAGIC, the world’s largest circulated magazine for magicians. Joshua also acts as magic consultant for several multi-national toy manufacturers (most recently for Marvel Comics) and has helped design many of the magic sets on toy store shelves.

He is also an accomplished photographer, and has infused magic into his work, with his fine-art photography exhibited in several shows (appearing currently at the Culture Museum in Linz, Austria).

Publicity starting to roll

OK - just about two weeks out and the pace starts to pick up now. New website went live this morning at www.MiraclesAndMagic.com and also booked the WBNS Sunday morning show with Angela Ann on March 14th and WCOL morning show on March 18th.

TV commercials as Public Service Announcements start this week and the the billboards started running last week.

But you know what still works best - for YOU people who are reading this to tell your friends about the quality of the show and what it's all about. YOU still make this show happen and we'd love for you to come back and bring some friends.

Look, listen and watch for all the upcoming things coming in the next two weeks.

I'm in Atlanta most of this week, but hopefully catch some of it next week for the few days I'm in Columbus prior to the show.

See you all soon!
